FY 2023 Continuum of Care Notice of Funding Availability
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Office of Special Needs Assistance Programs (SNAPS) has posted the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 Continuum of Care Competition and the Renewal Replacement of Youth Homeless Demonstration Program grants. Additional information coming soon.
The annual U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Dev. Continuum of Care Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) has been issued. (NOFO is federal-speak for, here’s our grant application, what you can use the money for, and how to apply.) The HOME Coalition is the designated organization to host the local competition for the 12 NELA parishes. The local competition is limited to the rules and limitations that are part of the national rules. But within those bounds, we have input into how we prioritize what we ask for. Please plan to participate in the next HOME Coalition Membership meeting/Zoom call on July 26th where we’ll invite community input. You can also do so by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Please watch for announcements via email for how to apply, allowable uses, where to get more info, etc, from this email group. We also post all info and materials about the local competition on a Competition page on HOME Coalition’s website at nelahomecoalition.org. This is open to new and renewal applicants. In brief, services are rental assistance, supportive services, staff salaries, outreach, HMIS (database costs), and administrative services.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO NEXT:
DON’T WAIT – READ the NOFO referenced in the HUD email, below. If you have questions, feel free to reply to this email, OR you can email email@example.com. All Q and A are shared publicly on HOME Coalition’s website. There will be training(s) for applicants in our area also.
Be sure you are subscribed to HOME Coalition’s email mailing list – if you got this email, you are already subscribed. Please share this email as far and wide as you can. If you aren’t sure, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know to add you.
Subscribe to the HUD email lists to get info about the national rules for the grant competition (we must follow these as well) and for announcements that may affect this application process. To subscribe, go to this website (link below) and, under the heading HUD.gov Mailing List, subscribe to the two lists shown at Sign up for SNAPS Competition Info and SNAPS Program Info.
