FY 2023 Continuum of Care Notice of Funding Availability
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Office of Special Needs Assistance Programs (SNAPS) has posted the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 Continuum of Care Competition and the Renewal Replacement of Youth Homeless Demonstration Program grants. The annual U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Dev. Continuum of Care Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) has been issued. (NOFO is federal-speak for, here’s our grant application, what you can use the money for, and how to apply.) The HOME Coalition is the designated organization to host the local competition for the 12 NELA parishes. The local competition is limited to the rules and limitations that are part of the national rules. But within those bounds, we have input into how we prioritize what we ask for. Please plan to participate in the next HOME Coalition Membership meeting/Zoom call on July 26th where we’ll invite community input. You can also do so by emailing homecoalition@gmail.com. Please watch for announcements via email for how to apply, allowable uses, where to get more info, etc, from this email group. We also post all info and materials about the local competition on a Competition page on HOME Coalition’s website at nelahomecoalition.org. This is open to new and renewal applicants. In brief, services are rental assistance, supportive services, staff salaries, outreach, HMIS (database costs), and administrative services.
